This frost-tolerant biennial provides a mat of color until covered with snow and then reappears in spring. It does best in full sun and is ideal for garden edging, hanging baskets, and containers.

It grows to 12 inches tall and 14 inches wide and prefers full sun. Frost-tolerant and disease-resistant, in warmer climes it can provide color from November into March.

The 'Hijinks' Pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo 'Hijinks') is big fun especially for kids, they say. The fruits are small, averaging 6-7 pounds, with smooth, nicely grooved, deep-orange skin ideal for painting or carving and also come with strong stems ideal as handles. In addition, yields are high and the plant resists powdery mildew.

It grows to 20 inches tall and as wide and although compact is said to benefit from staking. Given full sun, it produces an abundance of tasty inch-wide fruits.

The 'Terenzo' Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum 'Terenzo') is a real winner for producing a great abundance of sweet red cherry tomatoes on a very compact, tidy plant. It grows to 16-20 inches tall and trails to 20 inches wide. As might be expected, it's perfect for containers and hanging baskets.
