Britton Perilla (Perilla frutescens Britton) is an herb of the mint family widely cultivated in the Far East. It features attractive green leaves with reddish-purple undersides and a mild mint/basil aroma. Young leaves are said to be wonderful in salads, larger leaves as sushi wraps. Lovely in the garden or as an ornamental in containers.
