A great many gardeners throughout the world think 'Mr. Lincoln' "the best red rose" for its large, velvety dark red blossoms and intense fragrance. Blooms can reach as much as 6 inches in width and the plant can grow to six feet or more tall with rich, leathery green foliage. A hybrid tea, 'Mr. Lincoln' was an All-American Rose Selection in 1965 and has been winning devotees ever since. An extremely vigorous grower, it's best suited for the back of the rose bed.
